MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN SOFTBALL:
The game lasted only six inning with Melrose on the short end of a 13-3 score.  The Lady Dutchmen had 2-0 first inning lead wiped out by a six-run first by Morris.  Nikki Zierden and Kayla Austing led Melrose in hitting with two each.  Morris had only eight hits, but hammered in nine of their 13 runs.  They Tigers had two home runs and two triples. Sandra Sprenger's double was the only Melrose extra base hit.  The team was also plagued by bit of wildness as Melrose pitchers walked eight batters.
