Dutchmen Baseball
While the Osakis Silverstreaks indicted their view of a play
at the plate, Melrose catcher Logan Funk held up the glove to show the umpire
he had the ball. The umpire ruled in
favor of Melrose ending Osakis third inning. Melrose won the game 3-2 to
advance in the playoffs. Funk’s seventh inning sacrifice bunt put Brady Birch
on second base. Birch later scored on a single by Caldind Rieland.

Melrose fell 11-0 to Pierz in the playbacks of the Section
6AA softball playoffs today.
