Abby Hinnenkamp tagged out Sauk Centre’s Emily Mensen ending
a stolen base attempt, but Sauk Centre still outscored Melrose 11-3 this
afternoon. The game concluded Melrose’s
season record at 11-4. Playoffs begin on Friday at a site to be announced.
Dutchmen Baseball
Melrose fell 11-10 at Olivia this afternoon. The team next
plays on Thursday hosting Morris.
Monday's Game
Logan Schmitz was among the Dutchmen who played a good
defensive game in Melrose’s 11-4 win over LPGE Monday. The Dutchmen had 11 hits
and were led by Will Stone led the
attack with two doubles and three RBI.
The Lady Dutchmen were just as successful toping LPGE 12-4.
Both team play again this afternoon.
