Lady Dutchmen Volleyball
Abby Hinnenkamp was just one of the Lady Dutchmen
who gave the extra effort as Melrose pulled of another upset defeating
second seeded Pierz in five games this evening at Pierz. All the sets were
close and closely contested. Pierz won the first set 29-27, and Melrose the
second 25-18. The third set was again a Pierz victory 25-19. Melrose
rallied to take the third set 25-18 and forced a fifth game. The Lady Dutchmen
needed to rally for that win trailing 9-4, before coming back to win 16-14. The
Lady Dutchmen next face Sauk Centre Thursday evening at 6 p.m. in Sauk Rapids. More
