Dutchmen Baseball
The Dutchmen swept a doubleheader 8-3 and 5-2 at Atwater
Friday. In the first game, Dillon Haider lead Melrose going 4-4 with double and
three runs. Will Stone and Cody Pundsack each had two hits. Brady Birch was the
winning pitcher pitching into the sixth inning. Brennen Hoppe earned the save.
In the second
game Hoppe earned the win and Bryce Stalboerger the save. Hoppe helped his own
cause with two hit and Birch had two rbi. Stone doubled.
Dutchmen Golf
The Dutchmen find themselves leading the West Central
Conference after first place wins at Olivia and Atwater Friday.
John Brang’s 38 at Olivia tied him for the lead. Nate
Loxtercamp led all golfer with a 36 at Atwater.
