 The Melrose Dutchmen (#2 7-2) defeated Litchfield (#7 1-8) 32-22 this evening at Melrose. The two teams combined to run off 113 plays in the game.  Melrose out gained Litchfield 386-166 in total offense. Big plays, such as Matthew Beste's 39-yard run (right) and Zack Pierskalla's (below) 40 yard run were key plays for Melrose. Eddie Estrada had an 85-yard kickoff return and Jared Pedersen threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Cody Rau for Litchfield. Annandale defeated third seeded Montevideo (6-3) 22-13.  Fifth seeded Morris Area, which defeated fourth seeded Redwood Valley 42-13, faces #1 seeded New London-Spicer at New London.
