MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL

Melrose rallied for six points in the final minute of the game to defeat Sauk Centre 39-38 at Melrose.
The Lady Dutchmen trailed 38-33 from the 2:33 point in the game. Tayler Reller hit a three-point shot with 40 second left to cut the Mainstreeter lead to two points. After a over-and-back call gave the ball to Melrose, Annie Herkenhoff dropped in a three-point shot to put Melrose head.  A few seconds later Jenna Orth knocked the ball loose and Emily Goerdt grapped enabling Melrose to run out the clock.   Herkenhoff led Melrose with 16 points.

MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN GYMNASTICS
Maddy Brinkman helped Melrose
to a 146.25 score.

The Lady Dutchmen scored 146.25 to defeat New London Spicer at Melrose. It was their best score of the year to date.
Lydia Butkowski won the vault and beam routines.
Hailey Brinkman won the bars, floor and all-around routines.
Melrose finished with the top four scores in all events and all-around. It had the top five in the beam and floor.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL
The Dutchmen defeated Sauk Centre 70-56 at Sauk Centre. Scottie Stone, 28 points, Isaac Sawyer 15 points, led the Melrose scoring. More details on the game will be in the Jan. 18 issue of the Melrose Beacon.
PRAIRIE CENTRE NORTH STARS HOCKEY
Prairie Centre defeate M-A-M 3-1. Scoring goals from the North Stars were Nate Mettenberg, Robby Polipnick and Sam Ecker. Goalie Clay Deters had 27 saves.
MELROSE-SAUK CENTRE FUSION SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Fusion won 99-87. M-SC had individual first place finishes from Keenan Pearson, 100FLY (57.49), and Ethan Ross 5:38.88), 500FS. In the 500FS Jacob Gerhartz finished in second place.
The 200FSR team of Pearson, Phil Budde, Ross and Aasron Stalboerger claimed first 15 1:39.61. The 400FSR team of Tobie Danielson, Jared Von Wahlde, Stalboerger and Pearson finished first at 3:41.98.
