Dutchmen Baseball
The Melrose Dutchmen had home runs from Colton Meyer and
Tyler Braegelmann, and a double from Adam Van Beck in their 11-7 win over
Paynesville today. Anthony Welle earned
the win pitching 6.2 innings.
The Dutchmen rallied for two in the fourth inning on Meyer’s
two-run home run. In the fifth inning Tyler Braegelmann hit a three run home
run at Melrose rallied for five runs.
Hunter Rademacher, who doubled and had two hits in the game, drove in
two more runs. Adam Van Back also
doubled.
Welle left the game after the sixth, and returned win one
out and two on. The batter popped up and
was ruled out on the infield fly. The
runner from first was tagged out at second when he tried to advance after the
ball was missed.
Lady Dutchmen Softball
The Lady Dutchmen continued their heavy-hitting attack with
12 hits in a 12-6 win at Paynesville.
Justine Revermann’s 3-for-4 day led the Lady Dutchmen. She
doubled and tripled. Abby Hinnenkamp homered. Emily Tschida also doubled for Melrose.
