Melrose opened the season with a 3-0 win over Albany at Melrose this evening. Melrose posted scores of 25-22, 28-26 and 25-21 to take the win. Emily Goerdt and Justine Revermann (photo right) lead Melrose with 13 and 10 kills respectively. Sandra Sprenger had 20 digs.
LADY DUTCHMEN TENNIS
The tennis team continued strong defeating both Little Falls and Parker's Prairie this afternoon. Katie Schulzetenburg, came through with a 6-0 6-0 win to top Parker's Prairie. So did Becky Klaphake. Melrose topped Parker's Prairie 6-1 and defeated Little Falls 7-0 this afternoon.
LADY DUTCHMEN SWIMMING
The swimming and diving team topped Alexandria 112-74. Rachael Kulzer and Gabi Sawyer both claimed for first place finishes in the event. Melrose won all three relay. It swept the top spots in the 100 freestyle and diving.
