LADY DUTCHMEN WIN THE TRUE TEAM CROWN

The Melrose Lady Dutchmen won the 10 team State True Team meet this afternoon with some solid performance its gymnasts.  Melrose is currently ranked number one in Minnesota.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL: Braham defeated Melrose 73-70.
MELROSE SAUK CENTRE FUSION SWIMMING: Finished ninth at the state true team meet.

SAUK CENTRE-MELROSE WRESTLING: Finished seventh at the WCC Conference meet.  Antonio Ortiz (2nd), Will Funk(2nd)and Arturo Stefanoni(3rd) earned all conference honors. Jordan Winter and Charlie Barhost are honorable mention.

PRAIRIE CENTRE NORTH STARS HOCKEY: The Prairie Center North Stars fell 5-0 to Detriot Lakes.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL: The Melrose Dutchmen  fell 52-30 to Minnewaska this evening. Next game Friday, Jan. 24 at Perham

MELROSE/SAUK CENTRE FUSION: The swimmers defeated Montevideo 116-67. Next contest is Saturday, Jan. 25 at the state True Team Meet.  The junior varsity won 121-56.

MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL 

Melrose defeated LPGE 71-52. Melrose took an early lead and never really let up throughout the game.  Justine Revermann (left photograph) had an impressive double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Emily Goerdt (below left) added 24 points and Gabi Sawyer (below right had 17 points. See the Jan. 29 Melrose Beacon for more information.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL: Melrose defeated Holdingford 63-46.
The Dutchmen had double digit scoring from Seth Noll, 14 points; Tyler Braegelmann, 11 pints and Colton Meyer, 11 points.

PRAIRE CENTER NORTH STAR HOCKEY

The North Stars moved to 11-6 following a 7-0 over Bagley at Long Prairie.

MELROSE-SAUK CENTRE FUSION SWIMMING AND DIVING

The Melrose Sauk  Centre Fusion Swim team won the section true team meet and will advance to the 

state meet on Jan. 25 at the UofM.

Taking first places were the 200 FSR team of Matthew Beste, Justin Hoppe,  Ben Heller  and Brent Blommel. They set the section 200FSR record at 1:54.61. Heller also won the 500FS.
