Lady Dutchmen Basketball

Dutchmen Basketball
The Dutchmen travel to Sauk Centre tonight in a key WCC-North match up. Melrose is  (20-2) 11-0 in WCC contest and Sauk Centre (16-4) is 12-2.
Prairie Centre North Stars
The North Stars travel to Pequot Lakes for their final regular season contest of the year.
SCM Wrestling
The Region 8AA wrestling brackets have been announced all matches will be held Saturday, Feb. 15 at the REA building in Thief River Falls/

The Melrose Lady Dutchmen basketball team fell 46-36 to Yellow Medicine East this evening.

Lady Dutchmen Gymnastics

The Melrose Lady Dutchmen gymnastics team won the West Central Conference meet today at Benson. Melrose claimed the top spots in all events.

Dutchmen Basketball
A strong defensive effort in the second half, combined with good shooting from thefield and free throw line helped Melrose top BBE 63-53 at Melrose tonight.
Brothers Drake and Colton Meyer combined to score 38 points. Drake had 21 and Colton 17. Tyler Braegelmann added 10.

Lady  Dutchmen Basketball
The Lady Dutchmen were edged 49-46 in overtime at Osakis.
SCM Wrestling
The SCM wrestlers topped Fergus Falls 50-21 and Roseau 42-34, but  fell 39-30 to Pequot Lakes/Pine River Backes this evening at Pequot Lakes.
Prairie Centre North Stars Hockey
The North Stars rallied for three goals in the second and three more in the third period to defeat WDC 6-5 this evening.

MSC Fusion Swimming and Diving
The MSC Fusion finished its dual meet season with a 111-75 win at Park Rapids. The team has some good swims setting pool records. MSC finishes at 10-1 in both the varsity and jv competitions.
Melrose Dutchmen Basketball
The Dutchmen had their best offensive production of the year in a 91-75 win at Staples. Melrose is now 19-2 overall and 11-0 in the West Central Conference.  Isaac Herkenhoff, with 27 points, was one of four players to reach double digits.
Lady Dutchmen Basketball
For the second straight game Melrose posted a 10-point win. The 12-7 Lady Dutchmen topped Minnewaska 57-47 in road game tonight. Emily Goerdt scored 20 for Melrose. The team is against WCC opponents
Prairie Centre North Stars Hockey
The North Starts fell 5-1 to MBA this evening at Sauk Centre.

Lady Dutchmen Basketball

A strong defensive effort in the second half helped the Lady Dutchmen basketball rally from a 31-30 half-time score to defeat BBE this evening at Melrose.  Melrose picked up the pace in the second half, created scoring chances and made the most of them.  Emily Goerdt scored 20 for Melrose and Gabi Sawyer had a strong second half and finished with 16 points.  Justine Revermann 10 of her 12 points in the second half.  Video scenes from the game can be found at http://youtu.be/8vZ9snw5rgk


Melrose-Sauk Centre Fusion
The Fusion claimed six firsts, seven of the top times of the night and swept the 200MR, 200FS, 100FLY and 100BT events tonight in Cold Spring  They posted a 114-70 win. There were some strong performances from Jake Ellering and Ben Heller in the freestyle races. Kenny Warzecha (100FLY) and James Mignot (500FS) both had their best times of the year. MSC had the best time in the 400FSR, but swam the race as a exhibition.
SCM Wrestling
The SC-M wrestlers topped BBE. the team had pins from Antonio Ortiz (106), Jordan Winter (113)  Will Funk (152), Clayton Mensen (195) and Jimmy Thomas (220).
Prairie Centre North Star Hockey
The North Stars traveled to Alexandria this and fell 5-0.

The North Stars fell 9-0 to Sartell-Sauk Rapids this evening.
Melrose Rosettes
The Melrose Rosettes Jazz and Kick teams both finished 10th in the Section competition at Sauk Rapids.
