MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL
The Lady Dutchmen posted a 50-49 win in overtime at Minnewaska this evening.  Emily Goerdt, who had seven points, put in the game winning shot.  Tayler Reller had 17 for Melrose in the game. 
Melrose (1-0) plays next on Saturday afternoon at Melrose.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN FOOTBALL
Melrose Dutchmen senior running back, Trevor Swayer, linemen Seniors Josh Harren and Mitch Niehaus were named to the Mid-Minnesota Football team. Junior Seth Noll, received honorable mention as a wide receiver, Trevor Sawyer as kicker, Isaac Sawyer as defensive back and Gavin Sand as linebacker.

MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN SWIMMING AND DIVING
Diver Morgan Kingston (left) earned sixth place in the Class A State diving competition at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center. Sydney Rasmussen (right) won her heat of the 100 breaststroke (BT).

She was the only Lady Dutchmen to earn a medal. Other finishes were 200IM Rachael Kulzer, Sydney Rasmussen, Gabi Sawyer, Amanda Warzecha-12th 1:52.24. 50FS: Amanda Warzecha-15th 24.95 100FS: Amanda Warzecha-16th 55.16 200FSR: Katelyn Koetter, Kennedy Eichers, Sydney Rasmussen, Amanda Warzecha-12th 1:41.86. 100BT: Sydney Rasmussen-9th-1:07.19.

MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN SWIMMING
The Melrose Lady Dutchmen completed their preliminary round of swimming at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, Minneapolis.
They had the following results:
200IM Rachael Kulzer, Sydney Rasmussen, Gabi Sawyer, Amanda Warzecha-10th 1:51.14.
50FS: Amanda Warzecha-14th 24.64
100FLY: Gabi Sawyer-17th 1:01.55
100FS: Amanda Warzecha-14th 54.85
200FSR: Katelyn Koetter, Kennedy Eichers, Sydney Rasmussen, Amanda Warzecha-11th 1:41.99.
100BT: Sydney Rasmussen-10th-1:07.88.
400FSR: Katelyn Koetter, Audrey Blommel, Kennedy Eichers, Rachael Kulzer-DQ
No Lady Dutchmen swimmer qualified for the finals round.  The 200IM and 200FSR team, as well as Warzecha (50FS 100FS) and Rasmussen (100BT) qualified for the consolation heat.
Diver Morgan Kingston will compete in the final of the diving competition.

MELROSE LADY DUTCHMEN SWIMMING
Morgan Kingston was in fifth place following the semi-final round of diving. She had earned 237.2 points so far.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL
Scott Stone signed a letter of intent to play basketball at St. Cloud State Univesity next year.  Stone, a senior with the Dutchmen, is among the leading scorers in Melrose history.


MELROSE DUTCHMEN VOLLEYBALL
The Melrose Lady Dutchmen post-season volleyball awards were recently announced.
Melrose did not play in a conference. A poll among all of the coaches of the teams that resulted in the following members receiving All-Independent Honors.

The Melrose Area Public School Dist. 740 board, accepted the resignation of Head Baseball  Coach Craig Meyer at meeting of the board this evening. No replacement had yet been named. Meyer had been approved as head coach at a meeting in late October.

Eight members of the Melrose Lady Dutchmen team (above) qualified for the State Class A swim meet following the Section 6A meet at Sartell today.

Qualifying for state were: Morgan Kingston, Gabi Sawyer, Rachael Kulzer Amanda Warzecha, Audrey Blommel, Kennedy Eichers, Syd Rasmussen and Katelyn Koetter.  Melrose will have competitors in the following events
