BOYS GOLF: Because of weather only nine holes were played in the second round of the Class AA golf tournament. Wes Dickhaus shot a 38, giving him a two day total of 114. He finished tied for 17th place.

BOYS GOLF: Wes Dickhaus shot a 37-38 75 on first day of the Minnesota State High School League Class AA golf match.He is tied for 14th going into the second day.

BOYS GOLF: Wes Dickhaus shot a 36 in the rain-shortened Section 6AA golf match to earn a 75-36-111 for the tournament. He finished as the second place individual and qualified for the state tournament.
Ryan Elfering shot a 78-45-123 and finished out of the running for a state spot.

BASEBALL: The Dutchmen fell 4-3 in eight innings to Paynesville in St. Cloud Melrose faces Sauk Centre tomorrow (May 30) at 5 p.m.
BOYS GOLF: Wesley Dickhaus earned medalist honors in the Cardinal Invite.
TRACK: No Dutchmen or Lady Dutchmen qualified for the state track meet.

BASEBALL:
Melrose’s Tyler Revermann (in helmet) was greeted by Ben Klaphake (7), Trevor Sawyer (catcher), Jacob Hinnenkamp (15) and other members of the Dutchmen team after he scored the game winning run again LP-GE in the first playoff game

Melrose won the game scoring in the seventh inning to break a 6-6 tie.

BOYS GOLF: Wes Dickhaus earned medalist honors at Paynesville and Atwater to claim the top individual honor in the WCC. Blake Loxtercamp was also named to the WCC team. Melrose finished second in the WCC standings. It took first at Paynesville.

GIRLS GOLF: Brookly Loxtercamp was named to WCC team. Melrose finished seventh at Paynesville, ninth at Atwater and ninth overall

BASEBALL: Melrose defeated Minnewaska 3-2 in both games of a double header.

SOFTBALL: The playoff game between Melrose and Pequot Lakes was postponed until Tuesday, May 21 at Pequot Lakes.

TRACK: The Melrose Dutchmen 4X800 relay team of Brent Blommel, Garrett Hoeschen, Brian Thielen and Antonio Ortiz claimed first place at the West Central Conference.

BASEBALL: A 4-hit pitching effort by Ty Reller was reward with a seventh inning rally that allowed Melrose to defeat Morris 4-3 at Melrose. Mitch Reller (3-4) drove in the game winning run. Austin Schoenberg was 4-4 in the game.
SOFTBALL: Melrose has two-game winning streak as id defeated Benson 4-1 and 5-3 Friday at Melrose.
BOYS GOLF: The Dutchmen finished fifth in a WCC meet at BOLD and third in a WCC meet at Yellow Medicine.
GIRLS GOLF: The Lady Dutchmen finished ninth in WCC meets at BOLD and Yellow Medicine.

MELROSE DUTCHMEN BASKETBALL

Despite the efforts of Isaac Sawyer (photograph) and others, Melrose finished its season as Section 6AA runners-up falling 73-59 to Litchfield. Melrose finished 29-2 on the year. Both loses were to Litchfield.
