Dutchmen Basketball
The Dutchmen moved 17-0 on the year with an 80-46 win at Long Prairie. Dillon Haider and Hunter Rieland both hand 19 points in the game.

Sauk Centre-Melrose Wrestling
SC-M had 11 wrestlers finish in the medal rounds, and earned to championships, Saturday in the West Central Conference match. Earning places were:
First: Antonio Ortiz (106) and Jordan Winter (138)
Seconds: Lararo Garcia (113) and Roberto Raya (195)
Thirds: Carter Braun (126) and Bryce Stalboerger (170).
Fourths: Karter Wensmann (138), Austin Millard (145), Daniel Thomas (220) and Sam Sjogren (285)
Sixth: Chase Lytle (120).
Melrose-Sauk Centre Swimming
Melrose-Sauk Centre finished ninth in the state true team with 1238 points. St. Thomas Academy won with a 2255 score.
The top finishes for the team were a sixth by  Kenny Warzecha in the 100FLY and a ninth by Isaac Schreiner in the 100 BK. The best relay  finish was 12th by the 400FSR  (Spencer Van Beck, Paul Pundsack, Schreiner and Warzecha.
Melrose Lady Dutchmen Gymnastics

The Lady Dutchmen finished second in the True team competition at Willmar.

Lady Dutchmen Basketball
Maci Blommel (21), Mia Meyer (back) and Whitney Austing (24 ) all successfully helped keep control of the ball for the Lady Dutchmen as they won 56-42 over Montevideo Friday Night. The win was their second in a row. Blommel finished with 12 points and Austing 11. Makiya Luetmer who had 29 in the win over BOLD on Tuesday. Finished with 15 points. Dutchmen Basketball
The Dutchmen survived a slow down strategy of Minnewaska to win 48-45 on Minnewaska on Friday. Dillon Haider, shooting from the outside dropped in16 points. Reegan Nelson, who had four of Melrose’s eight free throws, scored 16 points. Brady Birch added 10 more points. Melrose Area is now 16-0 on the year.
North Star Hockey
It was another 8-0 loss for the North Stars on Thursday. They fell to Detroit Lakes at Detroit Lakes. Goalie Jesson Gould had 31 saves. Prairie Centre had 11 shots on goal.
Saturday Competition
The Fusion competes in the True Team State Swim meet.
The Gymnasts compete in the True Team Gymnastics Meet.
The SCM wrestlers compete in the WCC meet.

The Rosettes Dance team competes in an invitational at Monticello.

MSC Fusion Swimming
The Fusion fell 94-92 to Park Rapids in a one of the most exciting dual meets in recent memory. From the start both teams pushed each other. The evening began in with the 200 Medley Relay were both schools topped the previous Park Rapids pool record. Melrose edged Park Rapids by less than a quarter second.  In the final race of the night MSC finished 1-3. MSC took first in that race by less than half a second and missed taking 1-2 by .15 seconds.
The team competes in the state True Team meet tomorrow.

SCM Wrestling
Luke Glasener controlled his match from the start as earned a 11-1 major decision as Sauk Centre-Melrose topped Minnewaska 51-30 Tuesday night at Melrose.   SCM did benefit from forfeits, but also had pins by Antonio Ortiz and Austin Millard. Video can be found at https://youtu.be/_CKj8LEvxEU
Dutchmen Basketball
Dillon Haider, who had 19 points, and Nick Olberding battled for a rebound in Melrose’s 89-71 win over BOLD Tuesday night.  Zack Van Beck had 20 points, Reegan Nelson 11 and Damon Van Beck 10 as the Dutchmen remained unbeaten on the year. Vidoe can be found out https://youtu.be/G2bWzhIdvoc

Melrose came back from BOLD with a 64-59 win Tuesday night.
Fusion Swimming
Kenny Warzecha had a hand in two pool records at Sauk Centre Tuesday. He set the 100FLY pool record and swam with the 400MR unit as it set a pool record. The Fusion won 110-74 over Willmar.
North Star Hockey
The North Stars fell 8-0 to Northern Lakes Tuesday night in Long Prairie.

Friday Night
Dutchman Basketball

Dillon Haider took to the air scoring 22 points as Melrose defeated New London-Spicer 77-69 in a well-played contest. Melrose, now 14-0 on the year, also had 15 points from Brady Birch and 10 from Reegan Nelson. The team played three games in four days this week. The Lady Dutchmen fell 67-27 to Sauk Centre. Maci Blommel scored 10 for Melrose.

Thursday Night

Dutchmen Basketball
Damon Van Beck (20) drove against the Benson defense and score 11 points as Melrose remained unbeaten in boys basketball. The Dutchmen won 82-60. Dillon Haider led the team with 19 points and Hunter Rieland also had 11 points. North Star Hockey

Prairie Centre posted a 6-4 win over Wadena/Deer Creek. The North Stars rallied from a 2-1 first period deficit with three goals in the second and two in the third.  Brady Miller gave Prairie Centre is first goal. Petr Erhart, Bryant Sand and Seth Deters score in the second period. Deters completed a hat trick with two more in the third period.
Lady Dutchmen Gymnasts
The gymnastics team scored a 149 to top B/KMS/M at Benson. Kayla Austing won the floor, vault, beam and all-around. Mady Brinkman won the bars.
SCM Wrestling
The SCM wrestling team was edged 34-23 by LPGE/B.

Lady  Dutchmen Basketball
Maci Blommel (21) and other Lady Dutchmen found it hard to score points in the first half of the 78-42 loss to Minnewaska Tuesday night. The Lady Dutchmen were held to 14 first half. Dutchmen Basketball
Melrose remained unbeaten at 12-0 with a 56-0 win over Cathedral in St. Cloud. Dillon Haider led Melroe with 20 points.  Eight other Dutchmen scored in the game.
Fusion Swimming

The Fusion topped both Morris and Perham in swimming tonight. Spencer Van Beck and Isaac Schreiner both won two events.
