Lady Dutchmen Track
Camryn Brinkman finished second in the triple jump of the Class A track meet . She hit 38-4 in the event.
She  competed in the Girls Class A Long Jump on Friday. She hit 15-9, but did not medal.

The Dutchmen’s season ended with a 4-3 loss to Foley in the Section 6AA playbacks in St. Cloud. Foley had taken a 3-0 lead in the third inning. While it executed bunts well that inning, it also had a triple from Andy Klucas.
The Dutchmen rallied for two runs in the third inning. Tyler Moscho started the rally with a single. Walks to Hunter Rademacher and Colton Meyer loaded the bases. Tyler Braegelmann pitched the first six innings, the singled in two runs.  Braegelmann’s two-out RBI double in the fifth scored Meyer to tie the game.
Foley regained the lead in the sixth, again using a bunt to push across the run. Falcon relief pitcher Alex Dietl stifled any rally attempts by retiring all seven batters he faced.

Dutchmen third baseman Kegan Stueve applied the tag too late to retire Pierz' Michael Meyer in a sixth inning play in the Section 6AA playoffs.

The Dutchmen fell 8-4 to a Pierz team that executed all aspects of the game well. The Pioneers created scoring opportunities with sacrifice bunts, then cashed in on them with timely hits and sacrifice flies. The pitching staff limited the Dutchmen to four hits.

Melrose broke the shut out with a two-out two-run fifth inning rally. They benefitted from two errors in that inning. Mitch Waldvogel reach on an error, then scored when the second error was committed. Levi Feldewerd, who walked, scored on an RBI single by Colton Meyer. Meyer was charged with the loss. The Dutchmen held on for a 7-5 win in the second round of playoffs yesterday. Led by Tyler Moscho’s 3-4 day the Dutchmen took a 7-1 lead into the seventh inning, only to see Milaca scratch back for four runs before the inning ended. Adam Van Beck, who earned the save, had two hits and Anthony Revermann had two hits. Both doubled. Hunter Rademacher tripled. Melrose next faces Pierz Thursday at 7 p.m. at Faber Field in the Section 6AA-West Semi-Final. Other results from the contest were-West: Pierz-8 Osakis-0; East: Cathedral-10 Pequot Lakes-3, Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale-3 Foley-2.
